The successful film Fast and Furious is set to ride into its next chapter with an eight installment, the first time without Paul Walker, the film’s star Vin Diesel confirmed.
Diesel announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas during a Universal Pictures panel that Furious 8 is happening, which will come out on April 14, 2017.
“We’re going to make the best movie you’ve ever seen,” Diesel told media.
He also recalled the when they announced the seventh installment together with Paul Walker at the same event.
“The last time I was on this stage I was with my brother Pablo … it’s hard for me to even watch that clip and then come out here without being emotional,” Diesel said.
However, Diesel did not reveal details about the new movie. He also did not confirm whether co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, and Kurt Russell will return to make the film’s next installment.
